What is renewable energy and how does it work? Solar PowerText Box: Solar power is the energy from the light of the sun and is collected by solar panels. The solar panels transfer the energy in the sun’s rays in to electricity and then sent it to people’s homes.  Water Power Text Box: Water Wheels work like this: The water is evaporates out the sea then it rains and the rain water gets collected in a dam, the water is then stored there for a while. It then gets poured at high speeds out of the damn and on to water wheels, the water wheels spins in a turbine and the energy partly goes into the generator that makes electricity.
